An industrial enterprise is not only a part of commercial life. Its activities also have effects on the environment - and every company has a measure of responsibility for its employees, neighbours and business partners.

The Schmersal Group is conscious of this fact and has therefore committed itself to the ideal of durability. Durability means: Economic, ecological and social factors are to be considered of equal value. We take account of this principle in all company decision-making - from development of products via production through to sales.

It goes without saying that we respect local regulations regarding environmental protection in each particular country. In addition, in product development and production, we ensure that care is taken in relation to limited resources and to hold the burden on the environment to a minimum.

We see our social responsibilities to include the duty to provide secure jobs for our employees and to support their career development.

Durability is a commitment which requires a change in attitude in many business processes. However, we are convinced that there is no alternative to this commitment if we are realistically aware of our social and ecological responsibility and want to play our part in securing the basis for life of future generations.
