In 1950, INGAM, which is short for Ing. Adolf Müller GmbH, started manufacturing electro-technical devices and simultaneously set up a resale programme of electrical components.

As soon as on 1st August 1958, INGAM integrated the Elan products in its programme. Upon the takeover of Elan by the Schmersal Group in 1997, the relationship was maintained and as a result of the reorganisation of the sales structure, INGAM became responsible for the sales of the entire Schmersal product spectrum in the southern part of Bavaria. The sales range furthermore includes, amongst other things, control cabinet systems, measuring equipment, sensors, current converters and measurement transducers.
