Sophisticated QM System certified according to MD 2006/42/EC Annex X of the new Machinery Directive places very high demands on the quality management systems of companies that develop and manufacture machinery safety components. The requirements go far beyond the familiar DIN EN ISO 9000ff. – and anyone who meets them can develop and market directive-compliant products that are listed in Annex IV of the MD. For the Schmersal Group this particularly involves the "Logic units for safety functions" described under no. 21 and the "Protective systems for personnel detection" described under no. 19. more

The SPS/ IPC/ DRIVES 2008 fair at Nürnberg, which ended on 2008.11.27, was a big success for the Schmersal Group: the booth was highly frequented all three days and many visitors not only requested information, but submitted specific projects and problems as well. more
From now on, our safety switchgears can be integrated even better in the drawings of our customers: the constructor now can download the EPLAN 5 macros for our products and copy them directly in his CAD system and his circuit diagrams. more
