With its enclosure size of only 12 x 20 mm, the SLC 430 series can be integrated in the surrounding construction, even if the available space is highly restricted. Despite their compact size, these safety light curtains meet the highest safety requirements and provide for a comfortable operation. The user benefits from safety and comfort functions such as contactor control and integrated start/restart lock. A LED indicates the operating condition of the SLC 430.

The series is available with eight different protection heights from 236 mm to 1804 mm. The range of the components is 300 to 3500 mm. Handling units and plants with confined construction space and therefore little room for the non-contact protection of the hazardous area belong to the first-line fields of application. Some customers also integrate the safety light curtains directly in the machine profile. For manufacturers of technical-medical devices, Safety Control has built an extremely compact, hygiene-compliant stainless steel enclosure for the SLC 430.

Besides the optoelectronics programme, the Schmersal Group will present innovations for the solenoid interlocks from the AZM 200 series at the Hanover Fair as well, e.g. new designs for safeguarding very large guard doors and guard doors with covers, as they are used for instance in laser cabins. The non-contact MZM 100 solenoid interlock also comes in a new version, in which the user now can set the latching force by means of a target.
