Welcome to the NEWSLETTER Issue 01-2009

Ladies and Gentlemen,

At this year’s Hanover Fair, the Schmersal Group presented safety switchgear, which are extraordinarily communicative, extremely compact or particularly robust, as well as a lot of innovations.
We have summarised the "highlights" for you in this Newsletter issue.

Products

Extremely flexible:
New safety mats SMS 4/5

Our new safety mats of the SMS 4 and SMS 5 series are extremely flexible and can be combined in a modular way. If the modules do not perfectly fit, we can supply "your" safety mat with the required dimensions. As the colours are re-garded, we are flexible as well: just pick your preferred shade and we will supply it. more

Particularly innovative:
Non-contact magnetic interlock MZM 100 with adjustable latching force

One of our innovations, which we presented at the Hanover Fair, is a new version of the non-contact MZM 100 R interlock, in which the (non safety-related) latching force of the interlock can be simply set by means of a "target" - according to the non-contact operating principle of course!  more

Extremely compact:
The smallest safety light curtain of the world for control category 4

Small, smaller, smallest: the frontiers of compactness have been reached. If you are looking for a compact safety light grid for control category 4, the SLC 430 series from the Safety Control GmbH programme is exactly what you are looking for. With its size of 12 x 20 mm, this safety light curtain can be perfectly integrated even in very confined constructions.  more

Highly tamper-proof:
Safety sensor CSP 34 with paired coding

As a result of the enhancement of the Coded Safety Sensor technology developed by Schmersal, the safety sensors of the CSS 34 series now are also available with paired coding. Of course, these sensors also feature the well-known advantages of the CSS technology: up to 31 devices can be wired in series and monitored through a common safety-monitoring module; guard door misalignment is detected in an early stage.  more
