SPS IPC Drives 2015: Rush of visitors at Schmersal stand

This year, once again, SPS IPC Drives achieved top marks: With about 64,000 visitors and 1,666 exhibitors, the numbers were considerably higher than the previous year. There was a buzz in the trade fair halls – especially at the Schmersal Group stand. For a while, the rush of visitors made the area quite packed as they took the opportunity to find out about Schmersal's innovations and hold intensive talks. more…

Schmersal Böhnke + Partner moving into new building

Now ready after approximately a year of construction, Schmersal Böhnke+Partner is moving into its new production and office building this week in the industrial area of Obereschbach in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. The new building covers the company’s future growing needs for production space and provides the opportunity to modernise the production as well as improve the flow of material and logistics management efficiency. more…

New products for your safety

One giant leap for safety: AZM400

At the SPS IPC Drives trade fair, the Schmersal Group presented an extension of its programme of solenoid interlocks. Characteristic properties of the AZM400 include the very high clamping force, the bistable active principle and the electro-motorised locking pin. This means that the new range is also suitable for very large, motor powered safety doors, e.g. at CNC processing centres. The combination of electronics and sensors represents a high level of availability as well as interesting additional functions with a very high level of safety. more…

Multifunctional safety relay modules PROTECT SRB-E

The Schmersal Group is presenting a new family of safety relay modules with eight basic versions. All equipment versions can be employed in applications up to cat. 4 / PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1 and SIL 3 according to EN 62061 / IEC 61508. A major advantage of the new PROTECT SRB-E range is that, with each basic version, several dozen existing safety relay modules can be replaced thanks to the multi-functionality of PROTECT SRB-E. more…
