Michael Ambros new managing director of Schmersal

The Schmersal Group is expanding its management team and has appointed Michael Ambros as managing director of K.A. Schmersal GmbH & Co. KG. In his new role, which he took over on 1 May 2017, Michael Ambros is responsible for the divisions of Administration and Sales & Marketing on a global basis, while managing director Michael Mandel runs the technical divisions at Schmersal. More…

Schmersal celebrates ten-year anniversary in India

Schmersal India Private Limited, a subsidiary of the Schmersal Group, celebrates ten years of existence this year. Some 200 guests from politics and business joined the celebrations on 2 June 2017 in Ranjangaon. The company was initially founded in 2007 as a sales organisation in order to participate in the growing Indian market for machine safety. More…

The Schmersal Group is extending its range of belt alignment switches to include new models and now offers a complete range of products for monitoring conveyor systems with a wide variety of options to cover different requirements. Objective and fast: global service division for machine safety

In early 2016, the Schmersal Group founded an independent business division for safety services. This business division is called tec.nicum and consists of a global network of certified Functional Safety Engineers. Trident Pack and Engineering Co. Ltd. in Bangkok is the latest to benefit from tec.nicum’s expertise. The Thai machine manufacturer charged tec.nicum with drawing up a risk assessment for a new packaging machine that the company is delivering to the world-leading food multinational Mondelez. More…
